If your device can enter boot system (Normal) -> Go into settings-> about phones -> build number or Settings->About-> software information->Build number, see image below..
If your device problematic, can only enter fastboot or recovery mode, See image below…
Or you can see it behind the battery, but usually SKUs aren’t listed there.
Starting to Unbrick Your Asus Zenfone / ZenPad
I have two methods

Prepare :
- PC / Laptop/Notebook (Windows OS)
- Usb cable
- Download ASUS Usb driver —> Click Here
- Download ADB Usb Driver —> Click Here
- Download ADB Fastboot Tool —> Click Here
- Download ASUS Stock Rom ( Full firmware ) —> Click Here
First method : if your device just stuck on logo (Bootloop)
- Install ADB driver
- Decompress ADB_Fastbootl_Tool.zip at dekstop directories folder C:\Dekstop\…. here …
- Copy the stock rom ASUS_.zip into ADB_Fasboot Tool folder
- at phone, go into fastboot mode “press simultaneously Volume up and Power button “
- Next, Select recovery mode and you will see Android robot, continue with “press simultaneously Volume up and volume down “ … You into recovery mode now
- Select apply update.zip from adb
- and now, connect usb cable from your device to PC
- Back to your PC, Double click or run CMD.exe at ADB_Fasboot Tool folder…. and you will see on windows “Command prompt”
- Next, Type in the command prompt “adb sideload “Stock Rom file name .zip” and press enter… Example see my command bellow :
adb sideload UL-Z00T-WW-1.14.40.550-user.zip
- Wait until the file transfer is complete
- if aborted, please download stock rom appropriate for your devices model
- if complete, reboot now and enjoy 🙂
Second methods : if your ASUS hard brick and lost recovery
- Install ADB driver
- Decompress ADB_Fastbootl_Tool.zip at dekstop directories folder C:\Dekstop\…. here …
- Copy the stock rom ASUS_.zip into ADB_Fasboot Tool folder
- Extracts stock rom ASUS_.zip and you will find recovery.img
- Now, drag out / move recovery.img to ADB_Fasboot Tool folder
- at phone, go into fastboot mode / Droid boot “press simultaneously Volume up and Power button “
- and now, connect usb cable from your device to PC
- Back to your PC, Double click or run CMD.exe at ADB_Fasboot Tool folder…. and you will see on windows “Command prompt” and Next, Type in the command prompt “fastboot erase recovery.img” and press enter…. see my command bellows :
fastboot erase recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- Next, Select recovery mode and you will see Android robot broken
- continue with “press simultaneously Volume up and volume down “ … and You into recovery mode now
- Select apply update.zip from adb
- and now, connect usb cable from your device to PC
- Back to your PC, Double click or run CMD.exe at ADB_Fasboot Tool folder…. and you will see on windows “Command prompt”
- Next, Type in the command prompt “adb sideload “Stock Rom file name .zip” and press enter… Example see my command bellow :
